At its Jan. 5 reorganizational meeting, the North Lebanon Township Board of Supervisors completed its annual officer elections and set administrative appointments for 2026.
Supervisor Arden Snook nominated and Supervisor Edward (Ed) Brensinger seconded a motion to elect Gary Heisey as Chairman, Edward Brensinger as Vice-Chairman and Arden Snook Sr. as Treasurer; the minutes record the motion as carried and Brensinger presided during the meeting because Chairman Heisey was not present. The Board also set the Treasurer’s bond at $1,000,000 for the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer.
The Board approved a slate of professional and operational appointments, including appointing Lori A. Books as Township Secretary and Assistant Treasurer, confirming the Lebanon County Regional Police as the township police department (with Chief Timothy Knight), naming Amy B. Leonard of Henry & Beaver as township solicitor, assigning Steckbeck Engineering staff as MS-4 and SALDO engineers (with Systems Design Engineering as alternate), naming Rettew Associates as traffic engineer (as needed), designating Lebanon County Planning Department staff as Sewage Enforcement Officer and alternate, appointing Mike Rohrer as Property Code Enforcement Officer, and selecting Brown Plus as auditor. The Board also named Edward Brensinger as voting member and Lori Books as alternate to the Lebanon County Stormwater Consortium.
Separately, Manager Lori A. Books reported two elected auditor vacancies after the top write-in vote recipients declined the positions; the Board appointed Kenneth Bishop and Kori Eder to fill those auditor seats until the next municipal election in November 2027.
The Board affirmed the 2026 meeting calendar (third Monday each month at 7:00 p.m.), authorized specific staff and officers to attend the PSATS conference in April, and authorized interim payment of payroll and bills to avoid penalties between meetings. Motions related to appointments and schedules were recorded as unanimously carried in the minutes.
The Board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Jan. 19, 2026.
