The North Lebanon Township Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted Ordinance #1-2026 on Jan. 5, 2026, updating the township’s Employee 457(b) deferred-compensation plan to comply with the federal Secure 2.0 Act of 2022. Solicitor Amy B. Leonard opened a public hearing on the ordinance; it had been advertised Dec. 23, 2025, and no members of the public offered comments.
The ordinance makes several administrative adjustments required under Secure 2.0, including provisions governing catch-up contributions, Roth elective deferral contributions, distribution requirements, and an effective date. Supervisor Ed Brensinger moved adoption and Supervisor Arden Snook Sr. seconded; the motion was recorded as carried unanimously in the meeting minutes.
Manager Lori A. Books confirmed the ordinance had been reviewed and advertised as part of the Board’s December 2025 agenda process. The Board did not receive any public testimony or questions during the hearing.
The ordinance will be filed and implemented according to the effective date stated in the ordinance; no further action was recorded at the meeting. The Board’s next regularly scheduled meeting is Jan. 19, 2026.
