The Cudahy Health Department on June 28 reported 503 client encounters since implementing its electronic health record system, and department leadership said expenses and revenues are in good standing.
Health Officer Katie Lepak presented an infographic tool intended to show departmental progress and said it will be updated for each health officer report. She said the department is operating in a fiscally responsible manner and that program intake and referral sources for the PNCC (Prenatal Care Coordination) program were discussed during the report.
Lepak said the Oral Health Program has proven successful and that the department is working with community partners to plan an oral health day in July. She also walked newer board members through the distinctions among Level I, II and III health departments to provide context on departmental capabilities and responsibilities.
Dr. David Sherman moved to accept the Health Officer's report; Alderman Mike Johnson seconded and the motion passed. The minutes do not attach the infographic or provide a detailed PNCC caseload figure beyond the EHR encounter total.
