Yamhill County authorizes Transit staff to pursue ODOT Section 5310 and 5311 grants and approves grant amendment

The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners on May 14 authorized Transit staff to prepare and submit applications for the 2027–29 ODOT Section 5310 and Section 5311 federal grant programs and approved Amendment #1 to Grant Agreement #35710 between Yamhill County Transit and the Oregon Department of Transportation to amend contract language (Oracle #TR26002GA).
Commissioner David “Bubba” King moved approval of both application authorizations and the grant amendment; all three commissioners voted aye. King noted that Sections 5310 and 5311 are primary annual funding sources Transit applies for to support county service.
The actions allow Transit staff to assemble required materials, submit federal applications and proceed with contract amendments as needed if awards are made. The amendment to the existing grant agreement updates contract language as described in the agenda item; the Board did not record additional conditions or amendments during the session.
Next steps: Transit staff will prepare application materials for the 2027–29 grant cycle and coordinate with ODOT on any required contract modifications if awards are granted.
