Yamhill County updates district medical examiner contract terms

Commissioner Mary Starrett moved approval; the motion passed with Commissioners Johnston, Starrett and King voting aye.
County staff characterized the amendment as administrative and contractual—intended to clarify risk allocation and insurance arrangements rather than change service scope. The Board did not request further substantive changes to the medical examiner’s duties during the session.
Next steps: county counsel and contracting staff will finalize the amended agreement with the contractor and proceed with any required notifications.
