Both items have been scheduled for a joint city commission workshop with the environmental stewardship committee in this chamber on Thursday at 6 p.m. Kevin said the ordinances are delayed for more input and suggested residents who oppose an ordinance may email commissioners, attend the March 24 commission meeting and use public comment to raise concerns.
Committee members raised questions about how the business-and-parks ordinance would affect activities such as yoga classes or sound baths in passive park areas; staff said the ordinance, as drafted and potentially amended, contemplates a permit application process rather than an outright prohibition. Staff offered to assemble a memo and additional facts for committee members between meetings.
