Kill Devil Hills designates two cottages as local historic landmarks

During the Deducey Cottage hearing the mayor (S1) thanked staff for the historical research and said it was "fun to learn the history for the property and the house," then a commissioner moved to add the property to the historic landmarks list; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The board followed the same process for the Jackson Cottage on North Virginia Dare Trail and approved that designation as well.
The motions were recorded as voice votes in the meeting transcript; the record reflects that the board accepted staff recommendations and adopted the proposed ordinances to add both properties to the town registry.
