At its June 1 session, Lock Haven City Council approved a series of routine permits and notifications for summer events and infrastructure work.
Council granted a second reading approval to close Main Street on Aug. 15 for a joint Commonwealth University Lock Haven Boxing event and approved closure of the East Main parking lot on July 17 for packet pickup tied to the July 18 Grand Pandora race. Council also approved a rain‑date closure request for North Grove Street on June 12 and granted Clinton County United Way use of Triangle Park on July 10 for a community event.
On infrastructure funding, staff notified council that the city received a $25,000 liquid fuels allocation from the county to support milling and curb upgrades on several downtown streets; public works has begun ADA ramp work with paving to follow.
All motions for the permits and the liquid fuels award passed on recorded votes; council also approved routine payment of a $920 professional engineering invoice split with the Lock Haven Authority.
