Police Jury approves several subdivision maps; tables a landlocked parcel map
Summary
The jury approved a series of plats and subdivision maps (including family lot divisions and parcel cutouts) and tabled the Jones & Gwindelyn map because it appeared to create a landlocked parcel and lacked signatures from all owners.

At its meeting the East Feliciana Parish Police Jury approved multiple subdivision and plat maps covering family lot divisions, small lot cutouts and larger parcels. Approved items included the Christy Bryant and Misty Vaughn family map, the David and Lydia Kuth Place cutout, the Joshua Dee map, the Deborra map, the Mayor's Property LLC parcel, the Loftton/Knox map, the Terry Lumpin map, Anita Cheney’s administrative map, Richard Brenley’s recently purchased lots and the Tommy Dudley division. Each of these was accepted after public hearing and recorded as unanimous approvals by jurors present.
A representative for the Christy Bryant and Misty Vaughn map, identified in the record as Jeffy Moody, explained that the owners originally purchased the property under a family LLC and now plan to convey lot 1A and lot 1B into individual ownership for two sisters so they can separately title property for their children. The jury closed public comment and approved the map.
The Jones & Gwindelyn map was not approved. Jurors identified two problems: the proposed division appeared to landlock a parcel with no legal access, and the map lacked signatures from all owners. The jury instructed the applicants to obtain required signatures and revise the map; the item was tabled for correction.
Next steps: applicants for approved maps will follow standard recording procedures; applicants for the tabled map were advised to return with corrected signatures and an access solution before the jury will accept the plat.
