Shaw Plastics representatives indicated the terms were agreeable during the meeting; the commission then moved, seconded and approved the lease and facilitated signature of the documents so the parties could each retain a signed copy.
Why it matters: county officials noted the building is now more fully leased and projected monthly income from the building will rise from about $19,000 to near $30,000 under current occupancy, improving the facility’s ability to cover insurance, utilities and debt service. Commissioners asked staff to maintain a separate account line for the building’s receipts and expenditures to monitor performance.
