Board hears Hildale Cemetery drain update; stormwater coordinator previews fair outreach and says Google-site drainage plan nears approval

Board staff reported that the Hildale Cemetery ditch lateral has been cleared and that contractors were scheduled to begin dirt work the day of the meeting; under contract, work must be finished by the end of July. Weather delays had slowed earlier progress, staff said.
Stormwater Coordinator Bill updated the board on outreach and development review. He said Morgan County Partnership Water Quality will sponsor a booth at the Morgan County Fair on Friday, July 17, with giveaways intended to encourage public engagement on water-quality stewardship. "If we can get somebody out enjoying the water then hopefully they'll take care of it," Bill said.
On development review, Bill said the next phase of a large Google-site drainage plan (about 180 acres) is close to approval after three rounds of review. He identified reviewer Dave Michaelberger Burke as having returned the most recent review and said if the developer satisfies the outstanding questions, the project would be ready for approval at the next scheduled review. Staff described the project size as "another 180 acres" and noted the board has been working on the plan for roughly three months and through three reviews.
Board members asked no additional questions and thanked staff for the updates.
