When asked about construction costs, a planning-level figure near $70 million for the building was cited; Sean said site-work and equipment estimates are being gathered and the board requested those numbers for the June 15 meeting.
Sean introduced Dr. Tony Payne, named by the board as the next director of ACTI; Payne said the feasibility study envisions doubling programs and staffing as ACTI expands. Trustees stressed the need for full cost-of-ownership estimates (site work, equipment, operating costs) before any land-purchase action.
Next steps: the land-purchase and any associated authorizing motions will return for board action at the June 15 meeting after due diligence and more detailed cost estimates are provided.
