Grant County Fiscal Court approves claims, county road resolution and standing order for recurring expenses

Grant County Fiscal Court voted unanimously June 2 to approve meeting minutes, pay claims and adopt a set of routine administrative measures.
The court approved the regular meeting minutes of May 20 and special meeting minutes of May 22 and May 26 after a motion and second. Members then considered claims and transfers dated June 2; the court discussed an invoice associated with environmental services and a Northern Kentucky hazmat/dive response and ultimately voted to approve the claims as presented.
The court adopted Resolution 2026-04 to update the county road system, noting corrections to Pettit Pike and Lake Road in Appendix A; the resolution was moved, seconded and signed by Judge Chuck Dills. The court also approved a standing order for FY2026-27 that authorizes preapproved recurring expenses including payroll, utilities, insurance premiums and payments to election officers, election commissioners, and county clerk storage and training fees.
In a separately convened Public Properties Corporation session the court approved the Jan. 20, 2026 minutes and authorized payment of the corporation’s annual filing fee for the coming fiscal year.
All motions reported at the meeting were seconded and carried by voice vote; the record shows “all in favor” for each recorded motion.
