Committee approves fourth-floor window replacement at Government Center
Summary

Joseph Gaither, McLean County Director of Facilities Management, introduced a proposal to proceed with phase two of the Government Center window replacement, covering the fourth floor. "This is phase two of the window project in this building," Gaither said, and he turned the presentation to Scott Fogler to describe the scope.
Scott Fogler said the county completed the second floor last year and that the fourth-floor work is more expensive because it requires a different type of lift and extra permitting for the state road adjacent to the site. He said the team would like to proceed with the replacement this summer.
Committee members asked about sequencing for remaining floors; Fogler said the third floor is expected next year. The committee voted to approve the proposal by voice vote.
Gaither also reported routine facilities updates: completion of exterior photography for the animal services project, a repaired sagging roof drain in meeting room 400 (no damage to technology), and that a new rooftop generator was craned into place at the health department and is now being wired.
