The Village of Alsip board on June 1 agreed by consensus to allow village hall to host early voting from Oct. 19 through Nov. 2, 2026.
Clerk Hardy requested the consensus and trustees answered by roll call in favor of hosting early voting. "Can I get a consensus for the village hall to host early voting from October 19th to November 2nd, 2026?" the clerk asked; the board recorded all present trustees voting yes and two trustees absent.
Trustee McLaren presented payroll and accounts-payable totals and summarized upcoming audit work. He reported payroll dated May 29, 2026 and accounts payable across funds with a total all funds figure of $1,277,461.35 (general fund and other fund subtotals read into the record). Auditor Jennifer Jackson of the auditing firm present requested the FY23 trial balance to begin fieldwork; the board discussed a schedule to complete FY23 audits and then proceed with FY24 and FY25.
A fire-committee consent item to pay a lieutenant for 24 hours of unused vacation at $48.50 per hour (total $1,164) was placed on the consent agenda and approved as part of the consent vote. The board established and then approved the consent agenda by roll call; elected trustees voted yes on the motions with two trustees absent.
Next steps: the village clerk and finance staff will coordinate with auditors on delivery of the FY23 trial balance and the election office will include village hall as an early-voting location in the county schedule.
