The Village of Fishkill trustees approved several routine actions during the meeting: acceptance of the May 18 minutes and the financial abstracts, award of vendor contracts for sludge removal and water‑sewer chemicals, and the appointment of a part‑time clerk.
On a motion and second, the board accepted the minutes from May 18 and then voted to accept abstracts showing General $340.96, Water $246.93 and Sewer $246.96 as read.
For procurement, trustees reviewed four bids for sludge removal and four bids for chemicals. The board moved to award the sludge removal contract to Wind River Environmental LLC (Vernon, N.J.) and the chemical supply contract to Surpass Chemical Company (Albany, N.Y.). Trustees noted there was no increase in price from the current arrangements and the motion carried after a voice vote.
The board also moved to appoint Narina Pirelli as a part‑time clerk to assist Treasurer Jen; the transcript records Pirelli was selected from roughly 200 applicants. Trustees described the job as primarily fiscal support, with hours reported as midday‑to‑afternoon (12–4 p.m.) at $21 per hour. The motion to appoint Pirelli passed on a voice vote.
