The Wakefield Board of Appeals conducted routine administrative business on May 27, accepting an applicant’s request to withdraw case 25‑115 without prejudice and voting to continue several related matters for 50 Power Parkway (cases 261–263) to the board’s June 10 meeting so Department of Public Works questions can be addressed.
Attorney Brian McGrael presented the withdrawal letter for Michael Constantino and the continuance request for Power Parkway. Board members voted by voice to accept the withdrawal and to continue the Power Parkway matters; the board asked town engineering (William Renault) and DPW to be available for the June 10 hearing.
The board conducted reorganization following town meeting, making nominations for chair and clerk and voting by voice. Clerk/staff provided updates including a cease‑and‑desist related to activity at Hunt Street (a demolition filing was later pulled), discussion of signage enforcement and that the town’s zoning enforcement officer Ben will handle follow‑up enforcement or escalate to legal counsel. Staff also announced a walkthrough of the high school site scheduled for June 4 at 4:00 p.m.
The board approved the minutes of May 13, 2026 (prepared by Amy Pel) by voice vote and moved to adjourn.
No financial appropriations or regulatory adoptions were made at this meeting; outstanding items were continued for the June 10 session.
