Clayton County board approves four administrative hires, upholds tribunal finding and schedules budget hearing

In each case the superintendent presented the candidate, a board member moved and another seconded, and the board recorded a unanimous vote to accept the recommendations.
The board also voted unanimously to accept the hearing panel’s recommendation in employee tribunal case 2025–2026-08 (noted in the transcript as June 1, 2026). The consent agenda — including financial and purchasing reports, reimbursements, construction reports and personnel changes — was approved unanimously as presented.
On policy business, the board considered Policy Series I but delayed a final vote after noting that proposed edits from Miss Hill had not been received by compliance; the vote on Series I was put on hold until the next meeting and Miss Hill was asked to resend her changes to the compliance department.
The board’s announcements included a public hearing on the FY2027 budget scheduled for Monday, June 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the CCPS café in Jonesboro and district summer programs (including Summer Market Wednesdays and a summer meal service).
