During the hearing a councilor quipped about beer floats as part of the business model; after discussion the commission closed the hearing, moved to grant the license, and carried the motion with at least one council member recorded as opposed on the vote.
The license will be issued for the premises pending the usual administrative processing associated with license issuance and the license-count constraints noted on the record.
