Carroll County Fiscal Court approves turnkey weather-siren bid after debate, tables motion fails

Carroll County Fiscal Court members approved acceptance of a recommended bid for a turnkey weather-siren and wiring system at a special meeting on June 2, 2026 after a short debate and a failed motion to table.

Mike Ratliff, who said he and others reviewed the bid packages, recommended the vendor VEI, citing proximity, lower price and in-person pre-installation consultations.
