DPW Director Rob Faley proposed installing one sign northbound about 175 feet before the intersection and a second sign southbound about 160 feet before the intersection.
Craig said the committee reviewed a resident petition and supporting neighborhood reports, and reached consensus to recommend signage rather than a crosswalk because only one side of the road currently has a sidewalk. The committee also noted a temporary radar unit placed last August recorded roughly 28,720 vehicles during a 12‑day deployment.
Board members asked clarifying questions about temporary versus permanent signage and whether additional striping or enforcement would be needed. After brief discussion, a motion to approve the committee's recommendation carried on a unanimous roll‑call vote.
