John introduced the request; Jim said the museum’s proposed sculpture (described as a blue, powder‑coated metal piece that "kind of resembles a bookend") would be sited in a treed area and lie outside the floodplain with no impacts to utilities. Jim provided dimensions for the work: "92 in wide, 72 in deep and then 60 in tall," he said. Staff recommended approval and the commission approved the site plan on a voice vote with no recorded opposition.
