The Williamson County Budget Committee voted unanimously June 1 to approve Resolution 6‑26‑1, authorizing the issuance, sale and payment of up to $17,850,000 in general obligation bonds for the Hill project and providing for a tax levy to pay debt service.
County staff told the committee the authorization is permissive and that the county will not move the issue to market until its typical fall schedule (September–November). Staff also noted the authorization could be used toward other property purchases if the Hill project does not proceed. The committee had previously approved required publication and discussed timing; no substantive objections were raised.
The resolution passed on a unanimous voice vote. The committee completed the bond authorization with no further amendments and moved on to remaining agenda items.
