Stonington selectmen confirm appointments, reappointments and a street-number change

The Stonington Board of Selectmen on May 27 handled several routine administrative items, approving appointments and reappointments and addressing a street-number assignment.
The board voted to appoint Daniel Madden to the Architectural Design Review Board. It also reappointed June Fro, Kathy Vargas and Rebecca Nolan to the Stonington Cemetery Commission. Members moved to table a waterfront commission item to allow time for other interested parties to participate.
The board approved a street-number assignment for map 79, block 6, lot 14 — assigning the address 9 Woodland Avenue, Stonington, CT 06378 — after a motion and second.
The meeting opened with a moment of silence for longtime volunteer Mike Crowley, who the Chair said devoted more than six decades to town service, including 45 years on the recreation commission and more than 20 years as its chair. With no further business, the board adjourned.
