The Village of Orland Park board voted to accept the FY2025 annual comprehensive financial report, and the board authorized a five‑year extension of professional audit services with Sikitch LLP.
Trustee Healey moved to accept the FY2025 ACFR. Anthony, the auditor, told the board he would issue a "clean, unmodified opinion" on the report for the year ended Dec. 31, 2025 — the highest level of assurance auditors provide. Trustees praised finance staff for bringing financial statements up to date and for completing the audit more quickly than in prior years. Finance staff recognized key team members by name for their work compiling schedules and responding to auditor requests.
Separately, trustees voted to extend Sikitch LLP's appointment for five additional audit engagements through the fiscal year ending 2031 per the proposal dated May 29, 2026. Trustees asked about contract protections in case of an acquisition or material change in the vendor; staff said standard contract language allows the village to provide 30 days' notice to cancel and that the services agreement includes a transfer/assignment clause and customary protections.
Board members said the extension supports continuity while the village completes organizational assessments tied to future compensation and contract negotiations.
