The board agreed to pursue conversations with MCEDC leadership, redevelopment commissions and regional partners and to revisit the contract and notification timing at future meetings; a motion to proceed with notice/negotiations was carried.

Commissioners cited concerns that tax-increment financing districts capture most project benefits and that county taxpayers are not seeing sufficient offsetting returns for the 40% share they currently pay.
