Ross presented an estimated project cost of $558,849 and said some material purchases would be performed by the township’s public works crews, which may reduce bidder prices.
The board approved a motion to go out to bid; commissioners discussed potential award timing, noting a shortlist contractor familiar to the township could allow a May 29 award recommendation or—if necessary—a June 12 award. The motion passed by voice vote, 5‑0. Staff said they expect to return with bid results and a recommended award at a later meeting.
