The board first approved the eligibility list as certified by the Civil Service Commission and then authorized offers for two full‑time candidates (Zachary Holmes and Jacob Labonte) and five part‑time candidates (Colin Finn, Jacob Bailey, Jonathan Hooko, Jeremy Sullivan and Dylan Kaine).
Manager and department staff said these hires will help the department maintain 24‑hour staffing coverage and cited the multi‑step hiring process used to form the eligibility list. The board approved both motions by voice vote, 5‑0. Staff said conditional offers are contingent on the standard pre‑employment steps (background checks and any required medical/physical clearances).
