Muscat, who said she has lived in Manona since 1989 and taught locally for decades, described increased traffic associated with the lake loop and overflow parking from events and the high school. She praised the early‑morning placement and pickup of the signs for the parade and suggested the city consider additional curb treatments (for example, extended yellow curbing or lower‑height signage) that are visible to drivers scouting for parking.
The council thanked Muscat for her comments and noted staff will continue to consider pedestrian safety measures as the city grows and events increase.
