Manona council approves consent agenda items and appoints two residents to city committees

The Manona City Council approved routine business and confirmed two committee appointments at its June 1 meeting.
After the roll call and a public comment period, the council moved to approve the consent agenda but pulled four items — numbered 8E, 8F, 10D and 11B — for separate consideration because one council member had a personal conflict. Mayor Nancy Moore and other members then approved the remaining consent items by voice vote.
The council later took the four pulled items as individual action items. Ald. Patrick Deula recused himself from those four items; the council voted to approve them, with one abstention noted in the record. The minutes from May 18 were approved earlier in the meeting.
The council also voted to appoint Amy Busy to the border review committee and Karen Okconor to the facilities committee; both appointments were approved by voice vote.
The meeting adjourned after the appointments.
