At the June 1 action session the Lewis Central board approved a package of routine renewals, vendor contracts and policy updates.
PowerSchool renewal: The board approved the annual renewal of PowerSchool applications and supporting modules (substitute and leave management, time tracking and professional-learning tracking) and the related service bundle for $54,228.30.
Nutrition services: Staff recommended and the board approved vendor awards for school nutrition procurement. The board accepted Performance Food Group as the prime vendor (current vendor), Kemp’s Dairy as the milk vendor, Pizza Hut for pizza, and Rotella’s for bread. Procurement staff noted limited bid responses in some categories and that several expected vendors declined or did not respond.
Board policy: Trustees approved the final reading of updates to the 100 series of board policy, including an amendment to policy 803.1 increasing the auction threshold for disposition of obsolete equipment from $5,000 to $20,000.
Craft flooring: The board approved the low bid from Kelly’s Carpet for preschool classroom flooring at Craft for $22,945.54.
All motions were moved, seconded and passed on roll-call votes with unanimous support from members present.
