The board also accepted a donated 2019 Dodge Charger from the Wayne County Sheriff's Department. A commissioner described the vehicle as a former detective car with about 130,000 miles and said lettering and lights had been installed; members voted to accept the gift.
In other consent business the board approved a $2,750 bid to apply lime to the county farm per contract and moved to approve payment of county bills. Each item was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote with no roll-call recorded.
