La Conner Chamber presents Daffodil recognition; town readies Tulip Parade and new tourism signs

A representative of the La Conner Chamber of Commerce presented the town with recognition tied to the 2026 Daffodil Festival and thanked council and staff for ongoing support. "On behalf of the La Conner Chamber of Commerce, it's our privilege and honor to present the town of La Conner with the 2026 Daffodil [recognition]," the presenter said.
Council members and staff discussed where to display the recognition in town offices or community spaces. Staff noted the photographer credited for the image was Sarah Wells and suggested using existing display walls or finding a special location in the annex or garden club spaces.
Town administrative staff confirmed the Tulip Festival parade is scheduled for April 11 and said organizers will remove cars from the parade route and set up two kids zones at Benton and Gilkey running approximately 10:00–11:30. Staff also reported that tourism signage manufactured by Janicki is scheduled to be completed by the end of March; the signs were described in the meeting as about 6 feet tall and 3 inches thick. Council members said the arts commission will explore artistic treatments and that placement will require coordination with adjacent property owners and consideration for accessibility and parking.
Council thanked the Chamber and volunteers for festival work and for helping highlight La Conner as a floral tourism destination in Skagit County.
