Penn Forest Planning Commission elects chair, tables several land plans and approves Woerner subdivision

The Penn Forest Township Planning Commission on Jan. 28, 2026 elected Stacy Venetos chair and Jessica Seersma vice chair and handled several land-development items, including approval of a Woerner reverse subdivision and tabling multiple other proposals.
Stacy Venetos, a commission member elected chair at the meeting, and Jessica Seersma, a member elected vice chair, were chosen in a motion by Chris Rau that James Denier seconded; the motion carried. The commission tabled a series of pending land-development matters in its old-business review. A motion by James Denier, seconded by Chris Rau, tabled the Mazzella reverse subdivision (parcels 51-51-A8.03 and 51-51-A8.04; P-24-9). Commissioners also tabled the Gullone land-development plan (parcel 51-51-A3.12; P-25-8), the Kocher reverse subdivision (parcels 12A-51-AP300, 12A-51-AP321, 12A-51-AP323; P-25-16), and proposed plans for Christine Real Estate (parcels 67A-51-F1, 67A-51-F2, 67A-51-F3; P-25-19) after motions by Chris Rau with support from other members. In each case the minutes record the motion and that the motion carried; individual vote tallies by member were not recorded in the minutes.
The applicant for Pocono Camp and Glamp (P-25-20; 51-51-A2) requested a 90-day extension to respond to engineer review comments. Engineer William A. Erdman and township engineer Rock Stahovic are recorded as addressing review concerns. Stacy Venetos moved to grant the extension to April 28, 2026; James Denier seconded and the motion carried.
In new business, township engineer Rock Stahovic recommended approval of the Woerner reverse subdivision (P-26-1; 12A-51-CP948 & 12A-51-CP950). Chairman-elect Venetos moved to approve and James Denier seconded; the motion carried. For the Passalacqua reverse subdivision (P-26-2; 37-51-A7.01, 37-51-A7.05 & 37-51-A7.06), Stahovic recommended obtaining a Highway Occupancy Permit. The commission tabled that plan pending the permit after a motion by Venetos and a second from Chris Rau; the motion carried.
Members of the public raised questions about a proposed data center and its possible impacts on the area. The minutes record that the public had questions; no formal action, staff direction or decision on the data center was recorded in these minutes.
The commission adjourned at 7:47 p.m. after a motion by James Denier and a second from Chris Rau.
