Mount Kisco keeps park alcohol hearing open amid constitutional concerns

Deputy Mayor Theresa Flora asked for clarification about why existing rules and regulations were not enforceable as written.
Village officials told the board counsel’s opinion is expected; no legal opinion was presented at the Sept. 15 hearing. After discussion, Trustee Luzio moved and Trustee Angie Guerra seconded a motion to keep the public hearing open to a date certain, Monday, Oct. 6, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The motion was adopted unanimously.
Next steps: The board scheduled the hearing to continue Oct. 6 for further comment and for counsel to provide an opinion on the constitutional and enforcement issues raised. No final change to Chapter 43 was adopted at the Sept. 15 meeting.
