Westside Middle School teachers outline PreAlgebra 8 goals, state test alignment

Kim De La Cruz, director of secondary teaching and learning, introduced teachers Faren Huben, Lisa Butler and Bailey Harriger, who said the unit was delivered during the first semester (September and October) and is aligned with expectations for MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) and NSCAS state assessments. The presenters provided an executive summary and slides that were included in the board documents.
Board members received the presentation as an information item; no formal action was requested or taken on the instructional content.
