Board approves several appointments, reappointments and minutes; one abstention recorded
Summary
The Board confirmed appointments to zoning and planning commissions and reappointed members to the Hometown Heroes Selection Committee, approved the Dec. 15 minutes, and recorded one abstention during the appointments vote by Selectman Mike Paine.
On Jan. 12 the Board of Selectmen approved appointments and reappointments to multiple town commissions and approved prior meeting minutes.
Diana Yeisley moved to appoint Allen Bradford as an alternate member of the Zoning Commission and to appoint Peter Harrison and Don Colantonio as alternates to the Planning Commission; Curtis Looney seconded. The motion passed with First Selectman Wendy Mackstutis, Selectmen Kevin Beal, Curtis Looney, Steve Antonio and Diana Yeisley voting in favor and Selectman Mike Paine abstaining.
Yeisley also moved to retroactively reappoint Sabrina Teixeira and appoint Jay Willerup, Amy Sheehan and Jane McAlpine to the Hometown Heroes Selection Committee with two-year terms ending Dec. 6, 2027; Beal seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Steve Antonio moved to approve the Dec. 15, 2025 regular meeting minutes; Looney seconded and the motion passed.
