Henefer — The council opened and closed a public hearing on the Dearden–Richins annexation May 5 after staff reviewed property boundaries and steps in the annexation process.
Jake Young presented maps and reviewed the steps that have been completed and those still required for annexation. Resident Eldon Bohman asked whether the town’s master plan calls for an additional road down South Henefer; Mayor Kay H. Richins responded that the master plan addresses that question and a road map was shown during the hearing. Bryant Stephens asked about plans for a particular portion of the annexed property. The council closed the hearing and did not take a final action on the annexation during the meeting.
