Henefer — The Henefer Town Council voted May 5 to accept a planning services contract and recorded a staff‑backed increase in the monthly planning fee.
Jake Young told the council his workload has increased and that his current fee is below typical rates for other towns; he proposed increasing the monthly fee from $750 to $1,000. During the action portion of the meeting Councilmember Steven Dallin moved to accept the planning services contract outlined in the letter dated April 3, 2026, from Citi Design to Henefer Town; Alec Deru seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Council members expressed their appreciation for Young’s contributions to local planning work. The contract acceptance and fee change were handled as part of the meeting’s action items.
