The Susquehanna Township Authority on Jan. 6 approved a temporary construction easement and a change order for the Fox Run Trunk and Force Main Replacement Project.
Solicitor Stan Laskowski presented a draft temporary easement for a small portion of 1127 Countryside Drive needed to support the Fox Run work; staff and GHD had submitted comments and the easement was approved "subject to final review and approval by the Solicitor and staff, including negotiations necessary to finalize the documents and the final easement plan," the board record shows.
GHD engineer Joel Kostelac asked the board to approve Change Order #1 to extend the Substantial Completion deadline from Dec. 17, 2025 to June 30, 2026 and the Final Completion deadline from Jan. 17, 2026 to July 30, 2026. The board approved the change order unanimously.
Board members said the temporary easement avoids additional project costs and that the schedule extension will give the contractor additional time to complete the replacement work. Staff will finalize the easement documents and negotiate any outstanding details with property owners before execution.
