Members confirmed details for multiple upcoming events: a Mahwah Commons barbecue on July 14; a pool party on Aug. 12 (rain date Aug. 13); Pony Power camp dates in August; a haircut clinic on Sept. 1; Paramus mini golf on Sept. 8 (rain date Sept. 15); Mahwah Day and parade on Sept. 28 featuring either Music for Life or the Rock N Rollers; and fall and winter activities including fire safety with ice cream trucks (Oct. 2), Halloween bingo (Oct. 25), a Turkey Bowl (Nov. 17) and holiday events in December. The minutes note that a showing of Wicked (Nov. 30) was made possible by a member family donation.
The minutes record that Maryann Mauro and Meg Minassian worked with the Joint Insurance Fund (JIF) and circulated preliminary membership forms for review; the forms still require corrections and will be revisited at a future meeting. Katie Ross summarized a focus group held at the Commons and said attendees expressed interest in a karaoke event. Denise Shabet noted event cleanup responsibilities and outlined end‑of‑event tasks for volunteers.
After a motion and vote, members decided there will be no Access For All meeting on Aug. 6, 2024. The minutes do not specify who moved or seconded the motion or any vote tally.
