She also reported a strong turnout at a recent event‑holder workshop and said the office has already received applications from event coordinators for 2026 events.
Staff outlined next steps: finalize 2026 event dates, print table tents, and increase promotion for major events on social media. AnnDee Mead described the office’s internal “Event Team” meetings as beneficial for coordination, and staff noted plans to use PlacerAI for additional visitor analytics.
Other program updates presented during staff reports included museum and State Parks activity: Belinda Peacock said museum attendance rose to 140 in January from 103 the previous year and previewed a March 6 lecture by Maria Allington; Tifnie Hansen (State Parks) reported preparation for an April 1 opening and recruitment of seasonal staff aged 16 and over.
