The proclamation also cites Jones’s work as an entrepreneur who owned a wellness center and built a trucking company, and says he was ‘‘a true pillar of the community’’ who gave generously to those in need.
The board’s proclamation designates June 3 as a day to celebrate and remember Jones’s life. The resolution was introduced as part of the meeting’s recognitions and memorial agenda items and was entered into the minutes with the town seal affixed by Town Clerk Leonard J. Perfetti.
