The Henniker Select Board voted on several routine but consequential items at its April 1 meeting: the board approved the consent agenda, awarded a roadside mowing contract for $28,900, authorized the auction sale of a 2006 truck, and approved a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund resolution naming an authorized representative.
The chair called for a motion to approve the consent agenda; the board approved it by voice vote after a motion identified in the record as by Martin with a second by Flynn (motion carried 5‑0). Road agent Leo Allcoin reported only one bid was received for roadside mowing — New Hampshire Fieldworks (Chris Akins) — and the board moved to hire the firm for $28,900. The motion was recorded as by Flynn with a second by Newton and carried unanimously (5‑0).
Allcoin also asked permission to send a 2006 yellow Freightliner plow truck to the White Farm auction in mid‑May. The board approved the sale by motion (moved by Morse, second by Martin) and voted unanimously to authorize disposal.
On an unplanned but time‑sensitive item, the town administrator presented a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) resolution required because the town — not the Cogswell Water Commissioners — is the borrower. The resolution, which appoints Jim Donneson, Cogswell Water superintendent, as the authorized representative for SRF paperwork, was moved by Flynn, seconded by Knutson and approved 5‑0.
The board also approved March 18 public and non‑public minutes and concluded the public meeting by voting to enter a non‑public session under RSA 91‑A:3 II(d) to discuss real‑property acquisition/sale/lease matters.
Motions and outcomes recorded on the meeting record will be included in the official minutes.
