Angier board rescinds censures of mayor and mayor pro tem

Commissioner Chuck Carey and other board members said the timing and process of the prior censures gave the town a negative public impression; Carey said he supported rescission to avoid further division. After the votes, Mayor Jusnes said the investigation had been impactful to him and his family and expressed gratitude to the board for seeking clarity. Mayor Pro Tem Harmon expressed appreciation and eagerness to continue town business.
