The town manager said funds for the acquisition exist in the current fiscal year’s budget and that the transaction would return to the council later with deeds and formal documents for approval.
Council members asked clarifying questions about the parcel’s boundaries and urged staff to coordinate with the cemetery board before finalizing documents. No vote was taken; staff will continue work with the cemetery board and report back when documents are ready for consideration.
