Vernon County committee approves 2026 Community Development Grant recommendations

Committee member Nathaniel Slack moved to approve the recommendations; Patrick Sullivan seconded the motion, which passed with all members present voting in favor.
Committee members discussed whether the grant program should allow multiple projects to be submitted on a single application. That procedural question was not resolved; the committee directed that the item be placed on the May agenda for further consideration.
Oliver also reiterated related department activity, including recent infrastructure work and grant administration items. The committee’s approval was limited to the recommendations presented; the minutes record no amendments to award amounts or conditions at the April meeting.
The committee’s next scheduled meeting is May 7, 2026, when staff will bring the multiple-projects-on-one-application question back to the body for further guidance.
