Finance committee recommends establishing flexible spending accounts, asks board to authorize manager to sign TASC agreement

The Hidden Valley Lake CSD Finance Committee recommended Feb. 11 that the Board authorize the General Manager to enter an agreement with TASC to set up a voluntary Healthcare Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care Account for district employees and board members, after a presentation by TASC and staff follow-up on employee interest.
On Feb. 11, 2025, the Hidden Valley Lake Community Services District Finance Committee recommended that the Board of Directors authorize the General Manager to enter into an agreement with Total Administrative Services Corporation (TASC) to establish a voluntary Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (H-FSA) and Dependent Care Account for district employees and board members.
Craig Robinson of TASC provided a brief overview of the voluntary H-FSA program and described how the accounts would operate for employees. Committee members asked questions about enrollment and administration. The committee directed staff to verify how many employees would likely participate and to bring that participation data, along with a recommendation, to the Board.
Committee members formally recommended that the Board consider authorizing the General Manager to execute the agreement with TASC once staff supply the requested participation figures. There was no public comment on the item during the meeting. The Board will consider the recommendation at its next meeting.
