Palm Springs HSPB: CLG grants return, upcoming council dinner and outgoing chair remarks

Staff told the board the state Certified Local Government (CLG) grants program has resumed and the Planning/Preservation team expressed interest in applying. Staff also reminded members of a joint dinner meeting with the City Council at the Convention Center and of newly available Brown Act training resources.
Chair Hansen used the reports section to offer departing remarks, encourage continued outreach and training, and suggest work on thematic context statements (including an LGBTQ historic context and extending modernism survey work into the 1980s). Board members thanked Hansen for their service. The board adjourned to its next regular meeting on July 7, 2026.
