ECAHF curator reports donation of loaned items and plans for aircraft repositioning

At the April 10 meeting, Aircraft Curator Richard Hazlett updated the board on exhibit and collection developments, including maintenance, display planning, and pending donations.
Hazlett said weather delayed power washing of aircraft but that work should be completed soon. He reported two potential placement locations for the TAV-8 and said the A-4 will be moved so the TAV-8 can be positioned at the front. There were no new updates on TAV-8 mechanical details.
On exhibits, Hazlett reported a Navy uniform from a World War II veteran has been finalized and will be placed on display during the May "Salute to the Vets" event. He also said items previously on loan from the late Bill Hand are expected to be donated by Hand's daughter; she may donate additional pieces once family keepsakes are selected. Mary Beth Fennell mentioned a potential donation of GI Joe figurines in military uniform; she and Hazlett will review those items outside the meeting.
Board members did not take formal action on placement plans during the meeting but recorded the curator's recommendations and will continue coordination with staff and volunteers.
